Fundraisers
The Friends of the Council on Aging sponsor several fundraisers throughout the year. We use these opportunities to generate awareness and support for our cause as well as the O’Leary Senior Center. Through our fundraising we are able to host a free weekly yoga class!
Bi-Monthly
Speaker Series:
Every other month we sponsor an exciting speaker to talk on a range of topics. Join us to learn about new perspectives and experiences! Following the special speaker feel free to join us for our council meeting.
Apple
Festival
Come visit us at the Apple Festival this fall! The Friends on the Council of Aging has a table at the yearly Apple Festival! Here we inform and spread awareness about what we do in town. Don’t be afraid and stop by!
Town-Wide
Yard Sale
The Friends on the Council on Aging is in charge or organizing and running the Town Wide Yard Sale. A great opportunity for some spring cleaning and community building! Details for next years Town Wide Yard Sale will be available soon!
The Real Senior Prom
This September, the Council on Aging hosted its second annual “Real Senior Prom”. The “Real Senior Prom” is a great opportunity for our older community to get together, eat, and dance the night away. Prom tickets are completely free for North Reading Senior Residents. We are extremely grateful for our donors because without them this event would not happen!
