Our Mission

The Friends of the Council on Aging is a nonprofit organization focused on supporting the local Edith O’Leary Senior Center. The Senior residents of North Reading act as the backbone of our town. As a volunteer-based organization it is our goal to help support these Seniors and their diverse set of needs.  

 

To support our Seniors, we as the Friends strive to secure crucial funds to further enable the Edith O’Leary Senior Center and their work in the community. To secure these funds we put on monthly fundraisers as well as accept direct donations. Our biggest fundraiser is our annual Town-wide Yard Sale. With money fundraised we are able to sponsor a free yoga class! We hope to continue this work with your help!
